“Don’t I? I know what it’s like. You think you matter. You think you’re a part of something, and you get dumped. It’s like the whole world is moving, but you’re stuck https://bus-krasnodar.com/. Like those animals in the tar pits. It’s like you just keep sinking a little deeper every day, and nobody even sees!”
Their story continues in the comic books and their path together is as rocky as ever, frequently butting heads at almost every turn. The two aren’t able to see eye to eye until they both lose their Slayer powers. When they were gathered with the rest of the Scoobies in Tibet to track down the Big Bad, Twilight, the two finally made peace with each other and seemingly formed a friendship.
Faith is featured in the ongoing comic book, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight (2007–11), which serves as a canonical continuation of the television series. In the storyline “No Future For You”, Faith goes undercover on a mission from Giles to assassinate rogue Slayer Genevieve “Gigi” Savidge, who plans to usurp Buffy’s position as leader to the Slayers. Instead, Faith forms an unexpected connection with Gigi and finds herself torn between her new friend and her old enemy. When Gigi discovers her true identity, Faith unintentionally kills her in battle, and the arc ends with Faith finding a new purpose alongside Giles, helping slayers so they won’t go down the path she and Gigi did. Faith and Giles later reappear over a year later in “Safe”, which recounts one of their missions in Germany. Faith reconvenes with Buffy to face the threats of the villain Twilight in “Retreat”, and is captured alongside Giles and Andrew by Twilight. As such, she is witness to the reveal that Twilight is in fact Angel in “Twilight, Part II”. In the final story arc, “Last Gleaming”, Faith battles in the ruins of Sunnydale alongside other Scooby Gang members and Slayers. Underground however, Angel—possessed by the Twilight entity—snaps Giles’ neck in order to prevent the destruction of its power source; a grief-stricken Buffy destroys it however, Angel is freed from Twilight’s possession, and magic is mostly cut off from the universe. In the final issue, set some time later, per Giles’ will, all of his worldly assets, save a book, have been left to Faith. In Faith’s care is a distraught Angel, whom she intends to rehabilitate.

Faith’s trust issues and isolation heightened when her new Watcher, Gwendolyn Post, gained and abused her trust to obtain the Glove of Myhnegon; which led to Faith almost killing Angel and led to an all-out fight with Buffy.
While planing for the confrontation at Alasdair’s home, the party was plunged into battle when Eyghon and his zombified Slayers suddenly stormed the building. Eyhgon managed to overcome Spike’s demon and possess him, but when he attempted to do the same to Angel, the three spirits within Angel’s body made it impossible. Consequently, Giles briefly took control and decapitated Eyghon, killing the demon and instantly ending the battle. Angel collapsed in the wake of the fight, the three spirits within his body fighting for control. Faith denied Nadira’s desire to kill Angel, and along with Spike, was forced to postpone their plan to resurrect Giles.
Later, Faith took Buffy on a whirlwind tour of her way of slaying, ditching school to attack vampire nest during the day, dancing at the Bronze while attracting the attention of several men, and escaping arrest after being caught stealing weapons at a sports store. This eventually climaxed when Faith accidentally killed a human being, Deputy Mayor Allan Finch, an act that caused her to withdraw into denial.
Faith is also a character in the Buffy spin-off Angel. The two characters become friendly because they both understand what it’s like to be outcasts who no one else truly gets. On Angel, Wolfram & Hart want Faith to kill Angel, but she thinks that it would be better if Angel murdered her. Faith decides that she wants to be a better person, confesses to her crimes, and goes to prison. While Buffy’s discovery that she is the Slayer is upsetting at times, Faith seems more confident and comfortable with her role.
Faith was born in South Boston, Massachusetts, to alcoholic mother and father. Her mother used to read her Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go! before bed; on the “nights she was sober enough, anyway.” Her father, Pat Lehane, was often absent during Faith’s life, and always owing money to an Irish mob led by “Handsome” Jimmy Mulligan. Faith used to wear her father’s Drew Bledsoe jersey from the New England Patriots.

Faith’s philosophy with slaying justifies criminal activity as necessary for a slayer when it is really her unhinged personality coming out. A scene in which they ambush a vampire nest offensively is immediately juxtaposed with a sequence of the two clubbing, exhibiting that Faith is not just influencing Buffy in terms of slaying, but in terms of her general personality as well.
Faith often used the expression “five by five” to mean everything was well. Tara once asked what it even meant, and Willow replied: “See?! That’s the thing! No one knows.” She had her own personal, unique slang and it was revealed that she had inherited her catchphrase of the word “wicked” from her father.
Archaeus revealed his plan to take over the magic of Magic Town by presenting his army of new vampires, vastly outnumbering Faith, Angel, Fred, Koh, Lavinia, and Sophronia. However, the allies they had formed in the town gathered to help them in the ensuing battle, and such sight was enough for Archaeus’s supposed “family” to abandon him and withdraw. The Magic Town’s spirit recognized which of the two parties was genuinely motivated, and it sealed the Demon Lord within a statue. Afterward, Faith gathered her friends in commemoration and concluded she did not need to be alone and quiet anymore, being content with her people.
Faith asks whether or not Buffy and Xander (Nicholas Brendon) have slept together, asserting Faith’s pressuring nature immediately. Buffy’s relationship to Faith also causes her to question authority more than she already would. She even continues comparing herself to Faith after Faith has a far more direct opposition to a new Watcher than Buffy does.
A year and a half after the destruction of Sunnydale, Faith remained in touch with Robin, who led a squad of new Slayers in Cleveland, calling on Faith to perform slayings that would be considered disturbing. By this time, she had attempted to purchase a forged passport on two separate occasions. Giles approached Faith and struck up a deal: if she would assassinate Lady Genevieve Savidge, a rogue Slayer who had been killing other Slayers and could potentially bring about the apocalypse, Giles would arrange for Faith to relocate permanently to any country of her choosing, with the promise of never having to resume Slayer duties.
Faith later rejoined the Scoobies in San Francisco in dealing with the government’s Safe Zones. In the following year, she fought again by their side against Harth Fray and his demon army, and eventually participated on the Reckoning battle. When Buffy was fated to end up in a hell dimension, forever fighting demons until the end, Faith attempted to volunteer to take her place. After defeating Harth, Faith joined the police academy along with Buffy to act in the supernatural division.
